Mark Knight is Senior Lecturer (i.e., Associate Professor) in the Department of English Literature & Creative Writing at Lancaster University. His books include  Chesterton and Evil  (2004),  Nineteenth-Century Religion and Literature: An Introduction  (with Emma Mason, 2006),  An Introduction to Religion and Literature  (2009), and  Good Words: Evangelicalism and the Victorian Novel  (forthcoming 2019). He has edited several volumes, including  The Routledge Companion to Literature and Religion  (2016); is co-editor of New Directions in Religion and Literature, a book series published by Bloomsbury; and will become editor of the journal  Literature and Theology  in 2019. Mark co-directed a previous iteration of this NEH seminar with Lori Branch in 2016. He coedits the Bloomsbury book series, New Directions in Religion and Literature, and will become editor of the journal Literature and Theology from April 2019.
